In fairness, it was an aisle exit row seat with generous legroom - but the lower part of the headrest was below shoulder level for me, (I am tall, around 194 cm) so if I sat up straight that somehow contorted me and if I tried to curl up into a ball inside the seat, that became painful pretty quickly, too.
