I would like to think the seat design was contracted out and wasn't something that Airbus and/ or Asiana were involved with. But the seats in travel/economy were extremely hard on the A-380, my butt was tired by push back from the gate and needless to said after a 12+ hour flight I didn't know if my butt was still there or had fallen off. This seat is pretty good, although due to the shape of the plane, you're quite far away from the wall and you can't really lean against it and sleep comfortably that way. After 12 hours of flying, no stiffness or cramping. Max W on Seat was excellent with many movement options but only average for sleeping in, especially with no duvet cover.

Enough space is between the rows to have a comfortable flight. Pajamas too heavy, given how warm they keep the cabin (and no individually controlled vents). The stand-out feature is the large storage compartment between the seat and window that is more than big enough for keeping your computer, books, headphones and work papers close at hand without taking up personal space.
