Even the guys annoyed me to no end. I quite liked the book. Calvin was just a bad guy; I’m not sure why Britt liked him besides him being attractive. I liked the whole man vs. nature and the "survival" theme. Maybe that is the kind of male "hero" that the author likes or thinks teens will like.Good point. However of the girls I know, they are actually quite similar.
But it's not really a question, is it? YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like her plan is playing out just the way she has hoped: Calvin is going to be the "chaperone" on this trip and meet them up at the cabin later that day. Also, I feel like Britt was very similar to girls her age these days. This is one of those books that is the DEFINITION of page turner!!!! ), she turns to mountain-trekking bad boys in Black Ice.
Welcome to Confessions of a Book Addict! I was taken by surprise by how much this story captivated me. Speaking of agents, I also happen to work with the best foreign-rights agent in the industry. Ages 14–up.
Hopes that Fitzpatrick was writing something brave and different, a departure from Hush, Hush which was a total abomination for me. he went on easily. His kindness is confusing Britt. As always, I appreciate my agent Catherine Drayton's business acumen and foresight. After writing the hottest fallen angel in YA (<3 Patch! Welcome back. She graduated college with a degree in health, which she promptly abandoned for storytelling.
Also, she never got to know Mason, which is why I found it strange that she would fall in love with him. BLACK ICE is one of those thrillers that you go into only knowing the bare bones of the story, just enough to intrigue you with its hints of a suspense and romance, yet the ever-increasing tension and dark twists completely ensnare you in their grasp. Note: I heard the audiobook so apologies in advanced if I misspell any characters names. Unfortunately, it seems Fitzpatrick has a formula that she refuses to veer from and that made this book every bit as painful as Hush, Hush was. She has been training for quite sometime and even has all the equipment, thanks to Korbie's generous parents. I am sure there is a Lifetime movie similar to it. and that cover!!??? Seriously? October 7th 2014 Falling in love should never be this dangerous…" Her new book BLACK ICE arrives in bookBecca Fitzpatrick grew up reading Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden with a flashlight under the covers. I love the cover, I love the premise, I wanted to get my hands on it! Of COURSE I'm going to read this.I believe this is Becca Fitzpatrick's first mystery / thriller novel. In the vein of Marcus Sedgwick’s Revolver, Fitzpatrick’s novel is rife with psychological twists exploring themes of revenge, misogyny, and familial duty. I say "surprising" because I absolutely loathed Entertaining at parts -- but to bogged down by long stretches of actionlessness and frustrating characters for me to enjoy it. We’d love your help. [ Except for when she accuses your brother of murder, of which case, the first thing you label her as is "jealous" because of their broken up status. Thanks for visiting, Christina! I love/hate the Hush, Hush books. I hate reading reviews where people don't even want to give the book a chance they just want to bash it. Mason just so happens to be someone she has encountered at the local gas station the other day and helped her get out of an awkward jam with her ex-boyfriend, Calvin. Is he an enemy? As if she was telling me her story. There is a lot I could complain about with this book, but I was still strangely entertained by it all. I don’t mean to say every girl is spoiled, and boy-obsessed. There are parts of the novel that involve police tracking people, unexpected weather, and of course, murderers on the loose, which all added to the suspense The setting of the Tetons was fantastic and I was on the edge of my seat with worry that Britt was going to end up freezing to death out in the elements.Hi, I'm Christina.
