Tries very hard to be something,it is not... 6 out of 9 found this helpful. More of hollywood's divisive propaganda spewed forth in this sad, sick, sadistic, ... should I really call this a 'movie'? With a stark, spare style, and an almost unbearably stressful final 50 minutes, Carnage Park captures the look and feel of the back-end of a drive-in double feature. The soundtrack is awful.

there is a bank robber named Scorpion Joe who was pretty cool too, the director managed to pull the gangster out of him. This 'sniper' is a really BAD shot and doesn't use any 'sniper' protocol. hollywood's anti-Christian bigotry is apparent throughout. Law enforcement officials are also involved.

survival/horror genre film making is not an easy task, but this movie pulled it off. Changes to Was this review helpful?

Pride | Rating: 1.5/4 Binge Central Carnage Park movie reviews & Metacritic score: It’s 1978 and a bank robbery gone wrong leaves Vivian (Ashley Bell) the hostage of two criminals on the run. This is part survival action/thriller and part horror. Rising horror auteur Mickey Keating (Pod, Darling) directs this gritty, grisly homage to the glory days of grindhouse cinema. | Rating: 2.5/4 The acting from the others are a bit cringe worthy but despite them the suspense and tension still never wears off. This movie don't deserves a low rating, I think it's actually such a fantastic film and totally underrated. 1:44

So where do we start, we have a half baked back story for the kidnapped girl, I knew we were in trouble when 50% of the cast died in the first ten minutes, we had an attempt at a Tarantino cartoon type film, a hill's have eyes type etc, at times it was like someone who got a book of quotations for Xmas and uses quotes every other sentence, the director must have been giddy with all the nods to various other films.

(Yeah, like that's really going to happen.) Maybe someone out there can educate me on this. Only some psychotic individual wold find this movie entertaining. I love grindhouse, I love b movies, I love cheap movies.

Was this review helpful? Honestly, I'm not as familiar with Peter Watkins' work, so I don't know how much Mickey drew from him and his style of storytelling.

So the film wasn't off to a great start. We want to hear what you have to say but need to verify your account. November 2, 2016

By creating an account, you agree to the Plus from the trailer the film looked to have a grindhouse type feel to it, that combined with the fact that the cast featured Pat Healy (Innkeepers, Cheap Thills, Compliance) and Ashley Bell (Last Exorcism, Last Exorcism Part 2, The Day) was enough to make me want to see this on it's release. Five minutes in a voice inside my head kept saying "Turn it off!Turn it off!" Of Keating's three most recent films (Carnage Park, Pod, and Darling) I would say that Carnage Park is the weakest. Some of the scenes were so badly shot that I felt like turning my face away.

Now I wish I had. | Rating: 3.5/5 Was this review helpful?
