Eve Plumb in an effort to get away from her image of Jan Brady, middle sister with Marcia issues, on the Brady Bunch took a part as far as you can get from the G-rated Brady family. In its day, this was a bigger ratings winner than Linda Blair's "Sarah T.: Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic" which started fresh a timeworn cycle: the teens-in-trouble genre. He tells Dawn that if she tells him their night together meant nothing to her, then he'll leave for good. Young girls who, run away from home, don't see danger. Great stuff! "Dawn" leaves one with the false message that everything always turns out OK in the end, when this is rarely the case.

It premiered on September 27, 1976. Unfortunately, a psychopath is roaming the highways, picking up young girls and raping them. Her first professional john is a hotel pickup at the lobby, but the man beat her and didn't pay either, resulting in her phoning Alex to ask him for money. His arm is in a sling recovering, and he promises her that he'll go down to get her when he's saved enough money. Despite Alex getting beaten up, it's still not enough for Dawn to leave Swan or give up prostitution, or to even go home to her mom. I saw this when it first aired as a tv movie, and have also seen it on tape.

But still quite viewable.The dvd will come in a paper dvd sleeve, with cover art insert. At the clinic, a young man notices Dawn and introduces himself as Alexander. Parts are very compelling as you watch this young runaway evolve into a streetwalker.

Incidentally, I seem to recall a Disney movie entitled 'Blind Sunday' circa 1976, which featured Leigh McCloskey.
