Regarding san fransokyo, I definetly found it more related to other aspects of the story and characters, but I'm sure there's something there you could draw comparisons from.Monstropolis and San Fransokyo were weird in that the villains themselves were more the thematic focus of the world. Sora and Kairi confirming their relationship as romantic in some way in KH3 definitely seems to be something that many people expect.

Sora and Kairi are cute together and back when KH1 first came out, I definitely shipped them. The first one is all about how sulley and mike have to accept that they can't be with Boo right now given the circunstances.

The biggest reason i didn't like KH3 was the feeling that traveling to the Disney worlds had no real purpose, especially with the initial premise being finding a way to save Roxas that just sorta fizzled out.There still isn't a purpose to his wandering, but now it no longer feels like Sora was just wasting his time.Sora’s reason for traveling around definitely wasn’t as well depicted in KH3 as “search for Mickey, Riku, and Kairi” in KH1 or “search for Riku/Org XIII” in KH2, but I think the implication was that Sora let his heart guide him to every world that he went to in KH3.
