Duke University Health System’s Life Flight team supports over 20 critical care procedures independently. We are one of the only rotor-wing aeromedical Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) capable flight programs in North Carolina.Life Flight is available to transport critically ill or injured adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Life Flight respiratory therapists transport critically ill patients via ground ambulance, rotor wing, and fixed-wing aircraft.
