This book, however, is a love story of a sworn Oxford Don bachelor and the woman he met, late in their lives, where they developed a deep, intense love for each other. This book is similarly a look-back at his life overall and more specifically the way-too-short but sweet love for Joy Davidman. Lewis led an interestingly unique life and an inspirational faith.
