So I was surprised that he was totally cool with all the changes to his story... but in the end I am glad we tried it out and that h liked it. The main characters of this young adult, fiction story are Miyax, Amaroq. So I'll be judging the movie strictly on its own terms.

I have not read the book, but I love the movie. It's certainly not going to compare with high-budget productions that kids are used to these days, but nevertheless, it's a good movie, with nothing 'questionable' to worry about, aside from the fact that this boy ran away from home.
