I think the acting on every ones part was superb as well as the lighting and make up. I'm not saying it was a bad movie, it just wasn't that good. This is one of the best films I have seen all year.

Título original: The Unsaid.

Los límites del silencio es una película dirigida por Tom McLoughlin con Andy García, Vincent Kartheiser, Teri Polo, Linda Cardellini .... Año: 2001. 71 out of 85 found this helpful. Barbara Wagner (Teri Polo) is her former student and now responsible in an orphanage for the teenager Tommy (Vincent Kartheiser), a boy traumatized by the death of his mother. How much courage do you have to look at the behavioral signs of those closest to you and ask some very difficult questions? I really enjoyed THE UNSAID a lot due especially to its psychological edge. This girl needs help. 4 out of 7 found this helpful. When a train approaches, Tommy tears loose from Michael's embrace and runs onto the tracks. Uncut, Unedited, Uncensored. It is also a film about family problems, and I found it never trivial and frequently a nail-biter.

33 out of 43 found this helpful. It was REAL. Michael Hunter's lovely, beloved 17 year-old son Kyle committed suicide, although he was in therapy for depression. It is Michael's job to decide if the teenager can leave the psychiatric facility when he turns 18. She seems to have some of the worst man-instincts that a girl could possibly have, moving on from a bullying neanderthal with all the charm of a rapist on his night off and on to deeply disturbed Thomas who has already murdered one one of her friends. Early scenes with therapists not wanting to let their patient out on his 18th birthday seem strange since there's no indication that the kid has been anything other than a model resident of the youth home.

One day, one of his former students asks him to take a look at a case of a boy, who has a corrupted past.

It never went for the possible "extras" to hype it up. I spent most of the time trying to determine which movie this one rips off the most - it's either "Primal Fear" (1996) or just plain "Fear" (also 1996). A masochistic cop, who hides her predilection from her cop husband, gets involved in pursuing a kidnapper nicknamed Harry for Harry Houdini, who has kidnapped a rich woman and has buried ...

Michael races to his ex-wife's house, narrowly missing the boy, whom he chases. The Unsaid is slow and predictable, barely even qualifying as a functional thriller as it seems more interested in piquing the interest of bored housewives who think they're experts on psychology because they watch Oprah and Dr Phil on a daily basis. At the same party, Tommy befriends Shelly and they become closer. It is also known under the name The Ties That Bind and its working title Sins of the Father. The film was released straight to DVD in the US, UK, and Canada but premiered in theaters in other parts of Europe and Asia. I watch it once and i will always remember as i remember my child. 4 out of 6 found this helpful. Was this review helpful? It is about a psychiatrist called Michael Hunter whose son commits suicide. 6 out of 14 found this helpful. 4 out of 5 found this helpful. 3 out of 5 found this helpful. And it is here the message is so powerful. Andy Garcia is selecting good screenplays for producing and revealing also an excellent producer. This kid seems to be OK, but he has a troubled past. And then there's the daughter played by Linda Cardellini. The plot starts as a drama, and as far as the characters reveal details about the real facts, the viewer gets more and more evolved by this surprisingly excellent psychological thriller. By incident he gets a patient that reminds him of his son. That leaves him devastated for three years, divorcing his wife and giving not the proper attention to his daughter.

Dunno if i wanna watch it again. Harold Garfinkel, following Durkheim, stressed that in any given situation, even a legally binding contract, the terms of agreement rest upon the 90% of unspoken assumptions that underlie the visible (spoken) tip of the interactive iceberg. I notice how few votes it has received and assume that it has gone mostly unnoticed.

Sinopsis: Michael Hunter es un psicólogo cuya carrera ha tocado fondo tras el suicidio de su hijo Kyle. Garcia is correct as usual and Kartheiser is outstanding in the role of Tommy. but very slow to make the effort to look beneath the surface.
