I wish he had other classes other than 1407. Dempsey is by far the most amazing instructor I have ever gotten to learn from. He was one of my favorite professors! Sounds a lot harder than it was but he's very chill and it's hard not to pass.Very harsh grader. Professor Dempsey is a great professor.

His class is fun because he is passionate about teaching. He is extremely organized, excellent at responding to emails, and extensively helpful with any questions, concerns, or difficulties you may come to him with.

The tests are based on the lectures and he makes sure you have access to his lectures to review again from home, including the lab information. He's really passionate about what he teaches so it makes the lecture more intriguing. Dempsey is by far the greatest professor I have had the privilege of taking. I would definitely recommend him! Great personality and really invested in the material, just a drag to have these components for online. lecture is online and lab is at the school. Really flexible and laid back.Point-heavy group project, group message so you're bombarded with messages from everybody including students from his other courses, and livestream sessions all for an *online* course. The notes that you take in class are just based off what he speaks about for the whole 3 hours, so if you suck at note taking do not even think about having this professor. 3 essays all year, two 2-3 page papers and one 5 pager, but not hard topics and easy essays to write.Professor Dempsey is a great professor. Anyone who has critized just really didn't care for the class.Lectures are well done and full of content. His grading criteria for the papers don't make much sense. It's theology core class and he expects us to be masters in the subject. Gave reminders for due dates and extended some test for us except for the final and the midterm.

You can opt into a group chat to ask the professors questions; I joined and put the chat on silence, so I could review on my time.Awesome. He also assigned a group project which was very fun and there are 6 test with 50 questions on each test. He claims to be progressive but it appears he is stuck in the past.DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! The readings are very hard to understand and the lectures are mostly vague summaries. The best instructor I've ever had, he will work with you and he understands what students go through and he's always willing to teach whatever you didn't understand even if it meant going out of his way. 3.3. Totally changed my mind on online classes.I took Dempsey in the INET class, but I wanted him in person. Planet project was easy and fun. He did reviews before every exam and quiz which was super helpful and he genuinely cares for all of his students and wants to see you succeed! Took this class because there was supposed to be another professor that was recommended but instructor was changed at last minute.he is the absolute worst teacher you could imagine.
