Then eventually I started to notice many inexplicable events throughout the movie and that is when I realized that the movie itself was going nowhere and had no real, deep meaning whatsoever. Despite the vast cast, it's barely watchable. Writer/director John Herzfeld (15 Minutes, Two of a Kind) earnestly tries and spectacularly fails to dilute the acrid pretentiousness of Reach Me, a tone-deaf everything-is-connected melodrama, by cutting his characters' pseudo-enlightened philosophizing with goony broad humor. Is that really so? A grieving nurse finds comfort and inspiration in her new assignment, where she meets a terminally ill woman with a quick wit and strong faith. I do understand that this particular production is having a limited public release and was released digitally the same day of its public release (which isn't a good sign).
