My default stance was "pretty uncomfortable", and I've adapted to where it's "only slightly uncomfortable".I don't think the flex deck design is bad- it's just different and not quite right for me though.RE: the companion app, maybe hold off on a purchase until you see what Backfire has in their app.More posts from the ElectricSkateboarding communityA community to hang out and discuss anything related to electric-powered skateboarding. Hey, guys here are my first impressions after about 50 miles with the Backfire Zealot. It is capable of more. But I would agree with customer service not being the best.

This is a Big win for Exway. The batttery is bigger on the Zealot - so more range with a mellow ride (big win for the Zealot)The Exway will manage its own battery to a certain extent - I have a busy life, wife, kids, and sometimes am forgetful, its nice to know the board can pick up the slack when i am being less attentive... (big win for the exway)The deck is smaller on the flex and a bit less flex (i am a small guy, so a 37" deck might be better than a 40" inch deck) - this might be better for me, as a 180lb 5.6 guy.i really really cant decide, i should say that Exway have local retailers in the UK so support will be in theory better (slick revolution and skatehut both sell them).Id pick up the Exway tomorrow if i didnt have range concerns.Fwiw yesterday I went on a 14 km trip on gear 3 of the flex through somewhat hilly terrain with a lot of stop-starts and still had 31% left in the tank. I haven't had any rubbing and I was worried since it doesn't look like you can spin the motors to mount on the back rather than under the board.Reasons for not choosing backfire: delivery times are horrible, customer service gives you the run around and plus they evade American taxes maybe that’s why it takes so longThe delivery times are basicially bad with every single electric longboard company as they all originate in China. In appearance though, I will admit it looks a bit cheap. The Zealot offers a "turbo" button, which seems like a nice feature (or a frustrating implementation of that feature), but for me doesn't really make a difference. I feel significantly more comfortable on the slightly large Zealot deck- although I believe the slightly less aggressive board curvature contributes to this as well. Wheels are 96mm stock and you can reliably get 15 miles on one charge, even with intense riding. I've been cruising at ~20mph, so the limited extra boost really hasn't been a factor. While I ordered a 4a charger with the Exway Flex, it also ships with a 1.5a charger. It only took me a few days to get a really good feel for exactly how they behave in pretty much any condition. Still need to manually remove a few screws like everyone elseI like the software support from exway and the app looks nice. The range is crazy, I'm used to a bird scooter and when my friend goes from 100%-0%, I am only down 2/5 battery bars.I love riding over smooth bumpy terrain because you can really feel the flex of the board warping around to give a smooth ride. Even had I paid for sea shipping the zealot still had a better shipping estimate that what I received for the flex. I don't pretend to be a professional reviewer or to have expansive eSkate knowledge. On the Zealot the difference was.. meh. I did a ton of research over a few weeks and went with the RS. où…Really Big Electric Skateboard Wheels 110mm TorqueBoards Summer promo video DIY Electric SkateboardThis website uses cookies to improve your experience. While not as smooth, I prefer the Zealots willingness to get me to cruising speed with haste. 58 minutes ago I really think bottoming out has a lot to do with people's footing. it's pretty easy to get an idea of how good (or bad) Zealot will be. I've said it multiple times here and on the exway sub, relaying reliable information to the customers is part and parcel of good aftersales service. I prefer the finger loop/fit in my hand, I appreciate the buttons for different functions and the physical reverse switch- it also has a USB-C charging connector which feels like a no-brainer. My exway order page never received an update after my boards were "shipped". What have you been getting with each? Overall, the Backfire Zealot is just a really well-made electric skateboard that has great performance.
