It took my friend and I 2 hours to complete the hike. The trail is moderate until the last .7 miles or so, where it is straight uphill to the peak. The Elwha to Hurricane Hill trail links up with the Hurricane Hill Nature Trail in this wide meadow. The descriptions says that you can walk in on the paved path up to the trailhead, but you can’t.

This trail was closed when we tried to hike it on 7/14, but we decided to go to the lookout instead. Get some altitude and have an alpine experience on Hurricane Ridge.

The Hurricane Hill trail system is for riders of any experience level. Wildflowers blooming everywhere. Wild flowers were blooming and plenty of deer on the trail!

Warning to anyone in an RV or oversized vehicle: you will have to park your RV at the regular parking lot and then walk 1.5 miles each way to the trailhead, making the hike over 6 miles in total. This is a beautiful trail!

Starting at just over 1,000 feet above sea level, this often-strenuous trail climbs from the banks of the Elwha to the exposed summit of Hurricane Hill.

Saw a lot of deer and one chipmunk! It is stunning and a must-do if you're at the visitor center anyway. Anyway, I’m very bummed to hear that the Hurricane Hill trail will be closed for construction at that time. please do not try to sneak in.
