Sometimes we are so stuck in our religious traditions and ruts that we cannot see how God is moving because we are so focused on what we don’t see God doing.One of the reasons I watch various revivals that are happening around the world is so I can keep focused on what God is doing rather than what He isn’t.

Miracle: an act that expresses the supernatural power of God. When you surrender your life to God, you are following His lead without knowing where He’s sending you. Hunger places us in the position to experience some of those realities in our own life.Humility recognizes that there is more of the supernatural power of God to be experienced. This man was willing to break the traditional and legal boundaries of the day to fall on his face before Jesus and ask for more.To have the supernatural power of God in your life, you must be hungry for more than you have at the moment. There are many times in life where we operate on our own strength. Similarly, Jesus expected us to take on the seemingly impossible in our own lives. These gifts are given to the church to help us love one another.

We have to believe in God’s goodness, that God has already willed the breakthrough for our life. The Spirit is the expression of God’s inner nature. The Bible also tells us, “For I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you. And this benefit is just the top of the iceberg. Both are Holy Spirit-inspired essentials. The Bible tells us to walk in the Spirit. God’s supernatural power resides in every Christian, but it requires a submitted and sanctified life in order to partake of it. How exactly does that happen? Have you ever watched people who God uses in supernatural ways and think to yourself, “Gee, I would like the supernatural power of God in my life?”Early in my walk with Jesus, I watched certain men and women of God who had supernatural gifts flowing in their life and earnestly desired to be used similarly. God does the breakthrough, but He’s waiting for us to take that first step of faith. We know from the New Testament that God gives spiritual gifts to empower the mission to evangelize to the world.
Heal our bodies from the poisons in the world. When we do this, we step out of the remarkable power God has for us. There needs to come to a holy dissatisfaction with your spiritual life as it is now. Learn who the Holy Spirit is and what He does in your life and in this world. You’re expecting a miracle without knowing what God will provide. You also know you’re surrendered when you don’t react to criticism and rush to defend yourself. Help me make rent, car insurance, gas electric, schooling, food, and clean water.

Breakthrough happens when we take the first step against barriers in our life. His Spirit, however, can be everywhere. Love is the greatest virtue of all. But the Corinthians list includes the most controversial gifts of the Spirit: healing, miracles, prophecy, tongues and their interpretation (1 Corinthians 12:9-10). This will allow you to tap into the supernatural power of God. When we operate out of self-reliance, we are telling God that we don’t need Him or His power. It opens me up to more of Him.
