HPE dynamic segmentation requires centralized data-plane architecture using tunneled node, which can dramatically reduce system performance and add CapEx. I really haven't had the need to deploy Aruba MESH but have been through the labs and whatnot and I do like it.What I am curious about is this: now that Cisco is acquiring Meraki - Don't get me wrong as I am not knocking Aruba, I like it enough that I got my ACMA and ACMP. The best Wireless LAN vendors are Cisco Wireless, Ruckus Wireless, Aruba Wireless, Fortinet FortiWLM, and Mojo Networks. It's just that this acquisition is a big deal as Meraki knows how to do cloud based management right. We're currently a Meraki shop (about 200 APs) and will be replacing in the spring with an on-prem controller based solution. Huawei perpetual PoE & fast PoE is not as fast and mature as Cisco.HPE-Aruba uses AirWave for automated deployment of switches and APs.
