My son loves being in a wrap but that was just too complicated for my husband and this is the best of both worlds! EDIT: item returned, I just wasn't convinced for the price at all. I'm very happy with this ergo but like with any new carrier you have to ease into wearing it and find the adjustments that are right for you. This carrier is easy to use. this carrier can be worn straight over the shoulder or crossed at the back, has excellent lumbar padding and support, can be worn front, side and back though I don't feel my body likes the side carry and my son is too young yet for the back carry as he couldn't see past the straps well yet (13 month old), a pouch for a waterproof hood (new as well), a zip pouch in front for the hood so can store a little in there too.there are little elastic bands attached to the fasteners and clips to offer a backup should anything become loose and also a way to roll up the long straps and keep it neat and out of the way. I love the criss cross and the back because I typically cannot reach the center of my back for the other Ergo carriers to latch the two straps together . This is not bulky and great for wearing baby.
