If the player ran and went to a save point, it cancelled any turf war on an area they already controlled.Also, if you were trying to take an area, you'd fail if one of the enemies was far away, because in order to win, you'd have to go and kill them, but if you do, you've left the fight and lose the turf war.Just finished the "doberman" mission.
