One of the biggest complaints I had about Xero was that not all 50 states had payroll support. I have tried to build a customised cashflow using the XERO customised cashflow report and after not being able to load and save it effectively was told that I had “over-customised” it! Basically, even when pulling a standard report out of this system, that report can be tailored to your specific needs. Never see itXero is Terrible. It sounds like this is not quite what you're asking. Have to click through a bunch of things to get the info.
We first started with xero a few years ago with 2018 being the last. I am responding HERE because:1) the button to “REPLY” in my email leads me to the right article but does not open a reply window or lets me reply.2) When I click on Leave a Comment, nothing happens so I couldn’t reply this way either. Find the best solution for you.Easy integration with payment services like Stripe, PayPal & GoCardlessCustomizable email templates with merge tag support, including reminder emails and recurring invoice email templatesRecurring invoices are easier to setup, manage & modify (as compared to QBO)Vendors and clients are all lumped into a giant 'Contacts' pile, which makes it easier to manage contacts who fall into both categories (QBO gets confused about that), as I have clients who are also sometimes vendors. The reporting options are VERY limited, especially as compared to QBO. It was nice but a bit boring. I have not regretted my choice to switch to Xero in 2015.We use Xero for our sole accounting software. Xero Central aside, Xero’s resource page puts many of Xero’s other support resources in a single location, which is really helpful.Luckily, Xero offers a lot of other support options.
I never feel abandoned by support.Even after 3 years, they never added Missouri to payroll, so I had to hire an outside payroll company, then reconcile their records with Xero. The bank feed broke when my bank changed their authorization to a 2-step verification.
It is used by our accounts department and also for the directors to pull off reports. Current integrations include:Very glitchy, missing vital features and worst customer service imaginableWorks, mostly sometimes, but there must be a better way.Xero is extremely limited and lacks VITAL information and abilitiesThank you for the time you take to leave a quick review of this software. Long story short, I wound up with all sorts of fines (hundreds of dollars) and Xero refuses to take any responsibility. I have a list quite long of similar to this and what I got the census is that Xero is made more for business owners in that it prevents manipulating transactions (mistakenly or purposely), but this causes a lot of irritation for accountants on simple tasks. 20. We are returning to our OLD offline accounting that does all of that and far more. The main problem is that Xero don’t care!
It makes it so much more difficult to find discrepancies.
Then you could switch to QB for the 2015 financial year.Thank you for the idea, but they already deleted my account so there are no more books on Xero. Their hearts were in it, which I love, but I needed some intellect on the other side….that was missing.Xero DOES NOT allow sub-accounts. Xero support was reasonably fast but wouldn’t even acknowledge that they could be at fault. I think today, the phone is not necessarily the best way to get support even in Urgent situation. But only got a reply to be put through to their technical support who charges $199.90 for solving the problem.
The simple, intuitive nature of the user interface allows for a range of user skills, whilst at the same time providing an efficient tool for our business.
)When you’ve communicated with Xero’s support staff, do you know whether you’ve communicated with support or sales? Finally gave up on it this year as the cost is simply too high, the problems too many, and the support — especially from sales staff– non-existent.I can tell you for a fact that bank feeds consistently fail on this product. Seems to me these are basic bookkeeping requirements for any software and Xero just doesn’t get it.We moved from QB to Xero for construction operations. It actually makes accounting less daunting and provide us with key reports with just one click. Their partner Gusto that handles the payroll side is amazing both with product and support.
It has to be downloaded and then sent as an attachment.I have to manually add lines to invoices. What do you think about this review? The thing is, that direct feeds are available from my bank to XERO but they haven’t applied for them and seem to persist with Yodlee, which is clearly not working, while leaving thousands of people, many accountants running their clients books via XERO, with major problems.
